Chilling killer book

Want a mystery that throws you for a loop? This is one of them. Slattery is a journalist on the trail of a huge conspiracy. Sophie gets herself involved much to her own danger. Each twist takes you to another plot. If you like murder and mayhem, this is the book for you!

Vince Slattery, reporter for The Echo, is a no BS kind of guy, with a refreshing smart arse attitude that I thoroughly enjoyed. The characters of Cupid's Poison Arrow pulled me in from the start in this 'old school feel' murder mystery. This book had twists, that as a thriller writer, EVEN I didn't see coming, and it's a tremendous thing to fool this old girl. While it could have ended sooner than it did, Anthony Hulse didn't lose my interest in this read, and I'll certainly be going back for mo Vince Slattery, reporter for The Echo, is a no BS kind of guy, with a refreshing smart arse attitude that I thoroughly enjoyed. Cupid's Poison Arrow by Anthony Hulse is a Scintilating read!

Not until the final pages is the killer revealed, and I was most surprised.

A journey through the seedy clubs and pubs of London, climaxing in an extraordinary scenario in Acapulco. A guaranteed page turner with lots of twists and turns. Superb!

This is the third book I have read by this author Anthony Hulse and will not be the last. Very creative I can't wait to read the many other books Anthony Hulse has to offer!

CUPIDS POISON ARROW.
This book the goings on at the dating agency Cupids Arrow. A story of murder, lies and deceit. This book will grab you from the very start all the way to the fantastic ending. A very highly recommended read.

This book actually started out as a 2-star read. So many characters were all introduced at once that it was difficult to keep up with them all. Plus the story just wasn't going anywhere. But around the 45% mark it started to pick up a bit.

Although this story has a lot of potential, I think just a bit more revisions are needed. For one, spread out the introduction of characters rather than info-dumping. There were also many grammar mistakes, especially when it came to punctuation. Some of the dialogue seemed contrived. I also wish there was a bit more characterization. It was REALLY hard to figure out what kind of character Sophie was supposed to be for the first half of the book. And although I had no idea who the killer was until the very end, now that I do know, I wish there was more build-up to it. An expansion on the host's life outside of the personalities would've added extra "umph" to the story. Therefore there wouldn't have been so much info-dumping near the end. I do think the veeeeeeery last paragraph is a bit cliched as well.

But this was still an interesting read and perfect for cozy, rainy days in.
